I currently have 95K miles on my Rineharts True Duals purchased in '08 and they still look good. I do have a friend that had his black tips discolor but mine still look fine. His were purchased in '07 and he replaced them with chrome tips.
I love the sound and look of my Rineharts. I know I could have squeaked another few HP out of my motor when I rebuilt it at 88K miles by going to a 2 into 1 there was no way I would change pipes. IMO they just don't look right on a bagger
I had the 3.5" on my '05 EGC and after a couple of seasons the tips turned a dark rose color. I wouldn't say I was happy about it, but not bothered enough to buy another set.
With my '11 RKC I put on the 4" and not had any discoloration whatsoever and they sound awesome! I'm definitely a Rinehart fan.
Very surprised to read on Rineharts website that everything they make is MADE in America. Not just designed. My understanding was that this was true when they were working with Bub, but was no longer true since they went separate ways a few years ago. That is when people started saying Rinehart slipped. Maybe they did slip...maybe they didn't...dunno first hand. I did think part of the reason for the split involved Rinehart wanting to make more money by going overseas. Guess not..
Nope Clearline Industries makes them right here in good ole USA. Iowa and Minnesota if I'm not mistaken.
I had the 4" Rineharts on my bike for a full season last year. At about 6,000 miles I noticed some flaking chrome up by the mount under the saddlebag. I called Rinehart and they asked for the number printed on the slip-on and within three days I had a new set of slip-ons at my doorstep. The customer service was fantastic. Sounded like maybe a bad run but the replacements now have over 4,000 miles on them and look like I just took them out of the box. IMO these 4" Rineharts are the best sounding exhaust out for our tour bikes with a cat in the head pipe. I have had many people come up to me and want to hear them and can't believe I havea slip-on with the cat still in place.
Not the right place I know but I have a set of 3.5 Rineharts brand new, never opened that I am selling. PM me if anyone is interested. I bought them for my wifes bike but she heard a set on another bike and did not like the way they sound. Figured I would mention it here before they hit eBay. They have black tips.
I just bought a 2013 SG. Rhinehart website says you don't have to adjust the ECU. Can you literally just bolt on the slip-ons or do you need to do a Stage 1 also?
