How much additional length is needed for all of the braided cables after installing the bars?
You can get by with the stock cables (barely) by rerouting, but it won't look clean. I went with +4" on the clutch cable, and +2" on the upper brake line and throttle & idle cables. These lengths were perfect.
I have the WO575 bars, absolutely the best mod I made to my bike. Dealer installed them due to a credit I had on hand, however, stock cables were used. They did charge me for wiring extensions, but I think they wanted to eat up another $15 of my credit.

I'm saving this info for later this summer. Thanks.

Bill,
I think that you may be right about the dealer wanting to gouge you for the extra $15. On my Street Glide no wiring extensions were necessary - there was plenty of extra harness available. However, in defense of the dealer, your bike may be different since it's a Road King, but I doubt it.
Smeerdude,
I'm just north of you and I got mine from the factory in California last winter. Took about a week. Ask them to send it USPS air mail not UPS, then there should be no importer fees.
I have the fairing mount mirrors, i find they are blocked by my bars, but, have the bars all the way up.
I put chubby 575's on my SG. I changed out all the cables and brake lines with steel braided ones from Johnny. One thing about 575's on the SG, because of their width, your hands will block about 50% of the side mirrors veiw.
Is this before or after the mirror relocation TSB?

Doug
Doug, you are right on the money. One of my riding budies has an '01 RK and his cables were fine. Only difference is my '07 has Cruise and his does not. Either way, did not think it was worth the time. I am one of the few that likes my dealer...
If I were to do it again, I would have installed all new braided lines and chrome controls while it was apart, JMHO.

What is a mirror relocarion TSB?
Service Bulleton for the Street Glides. It moves the mirrors up about an inch so that they can be adjusted correctly.
Thanks guys, the dealer called and said they can get them, it will take about 7-10 days. I told them to go for it since i am only picking up the bike in April.

Is it a template so they drill the mounting holes further up in the inner fairing, or is it a bracket?
