Default HD Chisel wheels?

Does anyone have the Chisel wheels on their touring bike? Any reviews on them? Pics would be appreciated.
Thanks TT

I only posted that link having discovered those wheels by chance, however since you challenged the advertised price I have looked more closely! List price they are $1,500, as that ad says, but LSHD has them for $1,250. I hope that puts the records straight!

I see a Chisel in contrast chrome for $569. Same price for the rear. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

So it would be much less from LSHD1

Oh, and I posted a pic I created from the HD-1 builder, of the red bike you wanted over on roadglide.org, but here it is:

It's all academic, as the ad has been deleted! There are two versions of those darned wheels, the ones advertised were full chrome, not contrast. Check LSHD's website.

I'd pass on these as they are a pain to clean and keep clean plus they are cast versus billet also the balancing weights don't always stick well are known to come free and ruin a fender.

For similar money you can find a great package from PM or RSD if you shop around. I bought a complete 21/17 PM combo package at a Rally from PM for $2900 total on the bike. And for another bike I bought an RSD 18/18 complete package for $2500 from Coastal Moto. Both packages included wheels, tires, front rotors, spacers, etc.

PM/RSD true their wheels in the production process and they do not require wheels weights for balancing. Plus their finishes are outstanding.

Good luck with your decision.

Interesting, I would have thought they'd be easier to clean that the 28 spoke cast jobbies. Horrible!

Agreed.

But getting a clean and open 5 or 7 spoke design from PM/RSD is even better yet.
