So I have the HD iPod interface, all hooked up to the UltraNutz bagger audio system. Everything works fine in stereoland except for the interface sometimes getting stuck. I'll be out riding all day, make several stops here and there. Then one of those times get back on the bike fire her up and the iPod won't work correctly. I will hear no music (as when I last left the bike the stereo was on the iPod setting) so I cycle through the options, FM, AM, AUX etc, and back the iPod, and I hear music for a split second, then it goes silent. I've tried turning the stereo on/off also with the same result. The only way to fix is pull over, open the saddlebag and disconnect the iPod and reconnect it. Then it works fine. I've tried using all of my iPods, Classic/Touch/Nano/iPhone, and it happens with all of them. Anyone else experience this problem? Is there a fix? Or maybe I need a software upgrade to the HK radio?
Thought I was the only person this had happened to. I did something not too long ago (can't exactly remember) that made it stop. I think I pressed the shuffle button. But up until then I had to do like you and disconnect/reconnect to make it normal. Also happened after several stops or if I cycled through the options.
I get my bike back from the dealer this week. I can intentionally make a few stops and cycle through the options to see if I can recreate the problem. Hopefully I'll remember what I did to get it going again without stopping.
Edit: I believe what batman said is what I did to make it start up again.
Yes I've had this happen also. I've learned to not push anything too quick when I start up the bike. I kind of let it do its thing, then scroll to the playlist. I also make sure the iPhone is not on. Maybe this all is just a coinsedence.
