Well, after much reacher and the help of Richie, my scoot is in my local shop, ( not the dealer) they will install my Big Bore kit using SE flat top pistons and tune my Mikuni 42 as well as clean and lap the 2007 Heads I got from Richey for $600 out the door!
Looks like it will all work out for you Mark , that;s great. While they have the heads in hand they can cc them and find out the actual chamber volume and put in the appropriate gasket for the recommended compression for that 26 H cam , I would think a cometic .030 would be about right. Enjoy your newly built bike.
I got a call from the shop and my bike is ready, big bore installed with the 2007 Heads! Starts right up and sounds great however, it's pouring rain here and it's not going to let up for a day or two! I had to leave it becuase they haven't had a chance to tune it or test ride it becuase of the rain! If it ain't one thing it's another!

Break it in right "grasshopper" you will be happy for years. Glad it all came together for you . I looked you up on the facebook , that is one good looking machine you have .
Hey Brown, you are usually right about the rain, but this one has been hanging around. 70% chance tomorrowm too! Hey Rich, I will, the shop is doing the heat-up and cool down thing. I'll do the usual 50 and 500 mile break in, although my shop said thats not all necessary, but I'll just do it right to be on the safe side. After they got it all toghtehr it started right up. They told me the didn't use a flat top piston, but used another with less dome to match the chamber when they cc'd it. He told me the number like 9. something to something, but they will give it all to me in writing. They also have a year warrenty on the build. They haven't rode tested it yet due to the rain, but she purs like a kitten...I had them replace the rocker box covers because they had some chrome flaking off and the timing case also. The engine looks brand new! I will let you know how it rides, and after break in I will get it Dyno'ed. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you have a great shop there for the build , good ones are tough to find , plus a one yr warranty , can;t be beat.
Well, I got the scoot back today and I can't tell much difference! I mean, I haven't really got on it becuase of the break in, but from what I did, I honestly can't tell much difference! I'm just hoping the bike didn't have a big bore kit in it already! I measured the old piston that came out and it was a little shy of 3 7/9" across. Sounds like stock 88 pistons to me. It runs great! But I was expecting some reall noticable power, it's just not there! Or maybe it's because I'm being too careful. I don't know...just don't feel all warm and fuzzy...
