Well actually the same back just surgically corrected, twice. Just got the new rubber. Michelin Commander II, front and rear. Had the motorcyleanchor angled valve stems put on. Tomorrow I will put the new tires on the bike, plus rear brake pads.
Now as soon as this new surgically corrected back allows, I am going to leave some tire tracks around the SE. Had some short rides, 1 hour+- so far.
24K, 2 rears and original front with 2/32nd remaining. Hated to throw away good rubber but wanted fresh front and rear.
at 32,000 mile I just got 2nd front tire and 3 rear. This is also my 3 set of rear brakes and my second set of fronts.
4th dyno tune 1. as stage 1 slip ons, 2. thunder header 3. 103BB and cams 4. Heads and TB.
That's good mileage on the front. I figure I could have gotten anohter 3-4K before getting into the wear bar but was getting some cupping on the front. Now all new. Just have to put the bags and side covers back on, get it off the lift and test ride.
Pretty good mileage on the tires. Got 14500 on mine and getting new rear wednesday. Debated about front but its still got some life left.
Hope the back holds up for you. Bad back was a good thing for me since it made me quit my job and go into business for my self. If wasnt for my back I probably wouldnt of had the nerve to quit a good job. 10 years later it was a great decision.
