iac went bad
just had screaming eagle race clutches installed got her back from dealer got into her hard through 3rd gear went to let off throtel couldnt she stayed reved up over 3 grand couldnt fix myself so carried it back to dealer it wads the iac idle air control module go figure so another 99 bucks on the road again

Not sure the year of your bike, but High reving on an EFI bike is usually the IAC. You can limp it hom by shutting her down, pulling the two fuses on the right side, or disconnecting the battery for about 30 min, and resynch the ECM. Simple fix but a pain to figure out the first time.

I thought a failed IAC was the cause of low idle, not high, no? My understanding is the IAC opens when the throttle is closed and lets air in so the engine can idle because with the throttle closed, the throttle body butterfly valve is closed.
