I have the tune trapper, and i would say not the greatest, but i guess for the price, its good enough. Going to put the sirius on her as soon i can get to her.
I got one of eBay for $28.95 last month from Classic Metal Supply and it's not much better than having no antenna on the back. I might go try the one from Pepboys. If that doesn't work I might have to cough up the bucks at that point to get a Dakota Digital. That seems like it would give me reception from what's been posted here. It might not be as big a deal to me when I get the radio replaced under warranty next week. The accessories jack went out. Then I'll just listen to my Ipod.
I read someplace on here were someone was talking about a hidden radio antenna option were it is hidden under the faring. Can anyone tell me were to look for this other then the stealer? I need one for the RG.
If we told ya it would no longer be hidden![sm=confused06.gif]
Go to Raio Shack, get an antenna plug and about four feet of 1.5 mil wire. Solder wire to plug, wrap the wire aroung existing wiring under the fairing, works amazingly well, and costs about $2.
I thought this was brilliant. I went to Radio Shack today & got the plug, the kid there says " I dont think we have those, we don't carry radios. I stared at him for a few seconds then looked where all the loose parts where and found it...dumba$$.. anyways, I did it tonight and it works awesome. I do listen to the mp3s more than the radio so this will work just fine for me. I really didn't lose any reception compared to the whip where I live. GREAT IDEA JoeR!!!!
