Question Floorboard brackets

Anybody ever figure out a way to modify the right side so it can be raised?

What are you getting at Mike? Adjusting the board mounting bracket? Changing the piece which bolts to the frame that the floorboard mounting fastens to? What type of problem are you trying to resolve?

The left side brackets can be adjusted both front and rear while the right side can be adjusted to tilt up the front only. Just wondering if there are other brackets or if anyone has ideas of a workaround. Tired of scraping so much on tight turns at high speed. My bike is an 01 Road King.

On models up to '08 both sides are adjustable with approximately 1" of vertical movement between the lowest setting and the highest setting.

I never said anything about newer bikes and actually the adjustment for models up to '08 is 1" C/L to C/L from lowest to highest on the left side and 1/2" C/L to C/L on the right. I shouldn't have generalized.

And you're writing that caused me to look again, for the umteenth time. The right side is cut and dry but the left side is what had me puzzled as it looked like it was hard attached to the frame. But looking again, with the bike jacked up and with a flashlight I finally found the rear adjustment. After all, makes sense if you can raise the front you should be able to raise the rear. Some mighty tough twisting and turning, feeling like I could have used a couple more hands but finally got everything adjusted. Even had to remove one of the bolts of my engine guard to get it put back together. Now I got to hope it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can hit some twisties and see how much difference it made. I will prolly ride if it does rain... Anyway, thanks!!!

Happy to be a PITA. Be thankful you don't have an '09 or later model. The brackets became fixed with no adjustment with the newer frame design.

After adjusting the floorboards up as high as they will go (right side is higher than left) and even put 13" shocks on a couple months ago I still scrape in twisties. Guess I need a crotch rocket...
