I bought my Road King used so I was concerned that the battery might be original. I pulled it and it is an HD battery with the little circles popped out for 11-10. So, While I had it out I thought I would take it to the local battery warehouse to have it load tested. He said it was fine but that it was the original. He said the code on the label (B7) was from 2007. Is he giving me the straight scoop on that? I still can't get past the little circles showing 11-10... He said they may have fallen out. He did tell me the battery tested fine though. My choice to replace or not.
B7 would sound like a February 2007 to me ... If we were referring to car battery (aftermarket .. say Interstate, if I remember correctly) that code would apply. Not very specific here but hope it helps .. maybe one of the HD shop tech's can chime in!

Thanks for your help.... Looks like time for a new one.....
If it is the original battery I would go ahead and replace it. Mainly just for peach of mind. It's already over 6 years old and it would suck to get stuck somewhere while on a ride. Just my 2 cents worth.
Local battery house sold me one for $90.00.... Made by Exide in Reading Pa.... Hope it lasts as long as the original.... Time will tell.... Thanks for all the input..... Love this forum!
I also bought a 09 Road king and it has original battery. I've been tossing around in my brain should I just jump ahead of the inevitable and replace a working battery with new now to have piece of mind? What if I bought a new one and traveled with this new battery in my Saddle bags for a time? If I had trouble I have a spare with me? Anyone done that? Starts well now and I don't know how much warning your given on dead battery...
Any input?

I was having no issues with mine either but went ahead and replaced it for insurance.
Bought a Deka from these people last spring. Local Deka dealer was a *** andd these people were even cheaper and I still had it in two days. Can't say enough on the service and savings i received.
