I just thought I would give my impression of this winsheild being I just bought 2 of them. I'm 5"6'' and the 4.5" windsplitter did nothing more than the stock wind deflector. The 7" windsplitter is great for me, no buffeting and I see well over the sheild.
I'm disapointed in the 4.5" one because I really like how it looked on my bike.

Congrats on finding a combination you are happy with. You're lucky it only took you two tries. All too often, when it come to motorcycle windshields, good looks and functionality are mutually exclusive!
Yea, my Street Glide was basically unusable with the factory supplied windshield. Installed the 7" Wind Splitter and Fairing Air Deflectors (58568-98A) and the buffeting is virtually gone.
I ran a 7" Windspliter for about 8 months until it didn't work with the new 2-pouch fairing bag I purchased. It did a nice job and looked good on the bike but I found something better. I'm now running a LRS 7" Ultra recurve. I didn't know what I was missing by not having the LRS. Glad the Windspliter is working out for you.

Same here. I'm 5'9" and the 4.5" Windsplitter was same as stock but looks awesome. My shop let me demo the 7" for about a week and I really like the way it felt and looked.
I'll be picking one up in a couple weeks.
I run the 7in windsplitter also. Its alright in my book, not amazing but NOT a bad peice of gear by any means. Does anyone have fairing bag that fits it? I keep reading about all the ones that dont.
Ive got the 7 inch windsplitter and am pleased with how it works. I demoed the 7 and 10, the 10 worked way better but looked awful. I combined it with fork deflectors and fork baffle and almost have all my buffetting issues solved. am thinking about trying a LRS down the road to see if I can eventually get satisfied with both looks and function..............

I ran the HD 3-pouch fairing bag with my Windspliter. It will mold to the shape of the Windspliter. Don't expect to sell the bag after it's been on for awhile unless someone wants to use it with another Windspliter. Once the bag forms to the shape of the Windspliter, it stays that way. One note on the HD bag... it doesn't hold crap. Next up for me was the Kury-crapyn fairing bag. It worked with the Windspliter. And while it will hold a ton of stuff, it looks like hell on the bike. My current set-up is a LRS 7" Ultra recurve with a 2-pouch fairing bag that I purchased off of eBay.
