Quote: 2black1s: I don't have any contaminants that have bonded to my paint, all I have are light swirls marks beginning to show up. What do you recommend for that; will the Scratch X be a good product for that? Wax product threads are like oil threads, tuner threads, etc., but this thread looked like a good place to ask what still is an unanswered question for me. Thanks!

OP, hope you don't mind a slight highjack here!
For what you've described I'd use anyone of the following to remove the swirls... Ultimate Polish, Ultimate Compound or Scratch X. I listed those in my order of preference but any of them will do the job. Then follow and finish with Ultimate Wax. All of the products listed are Meguiar's.

One of the important factors to remember is that the Clay Bar will remove/dislodge and pick up contaminants that you would not ( probably ) see, and might not even feel .. It is well worth the time ( you scooter isn't anywhere near as big as your car! ) to thoroughly clean the surface first so that you don't pick up any contaminants in the polishing cloth and cause further damage ... Read my signature ... I'm ALWAYS getting comments on how nice the finish is ... even on the 1979 ( 34 year old ) FXEF ( the last time it was painted was 1985 ) ... Believe me guys, the Clay Bar is well worth the effort ... follows by a good polish ( polish restores the lustre to the finish ) followed by a good coat of wax ... The wax will fill the minor imperfections in the surface ( small swirls and scratches that have not been completely removed ) and give it that Super Shine!

...and micro fiber towels are a must.
Take care of that clear coat finish, if your ride has it.
Eagle One products are excellent also.

I've used Liquid Clay Bar by Ice and it worked really good on swirl marks and minor scratches.
