I have a FI 2000 Road King Classic. I've had a Cobra FI2000r fuel processor (not the auto tune) on my bike for the past year. It would always hesitate when accelerating when the bike was cold. I finaly got sick of this and decided I was going to take the FI2000r out and see if the hesitating stopped - sure enough it did. I just recently bought and installed a PCIII preloaded with a map for my bike (stock headers, SE AC, and CFR slip ons) from FuelMoto. I was all excited to have a bike that was tuned properly and one that didn't hesitate - well, what do ya know - the bike hesitated once again when accelerating. The hesitation is almost like the bike isn't getting enough fuel and is about to die - it is also pretty low in the RPM range and once I get past that spot the bike seems to run pretty well.
My question is: Do I just give up hope on properly tuning my bike and curse the marelli injection? Or, should I keep trying to get this right? I am thinking about trying to run some Seafoam through my bike, change the spark plugs and check the fuel filter.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as this has definitely been a headache!
