Black Anodized Fade?

My experience with black anodizing (or any other color for that matter) on my boat motor is it fades. Hard anodizing and powdercoating do not. Check Embee Performance in Santa Ana. They're amazing, very knowledgeable, and do great work!

That is exactly what I'm afraid of! I feel for you spending 2k on the wheels and the Carl Brouhard stuff ain't cheap either. If I'm getting a guarantee from the manufacturer I may try them.

My son bought a 2007 Streetglide with Reinharts that had gold tips on the mufflers, when I called them they said they changed the anodizing process a few years ago and offered me a new set for a reduced price. 12K miles later they are still black. I was told most all anodizing and black chrome turns purple, so I go with powder coating.

Thanks for all the info. I'm gonna order the parts, keep the email from the company and see how the parts work out. I cleaned my bike up today (first chance since getting back from the beach) and wiped down the parts with some armor all.
