I'm still running the stock 2008 lifters and cam plate with a T-Man 662-2 (.660 lift) cam and 23,000+ miles on them. Stockers aren't that bad.

If you run a newer Harley you're already running the crappiest lifters money can buy. The "C" series from Mexico are the culprits.

Generally I change lifters at 50,000 miles now just as preventative maintanence.

I have been running the Johnson-Hylift lifters from Automotive Machine supply, and really like them.
They are very similar to the original 18538-99 that HD used when the TC came out. These lifter were very quiet, compared to the 99a, and 99b made by Delphi.
I have run all of these went back to the 99 or the Johnsons.
And they are pretty reasonably priced.

I've seen plenty of broken HD lifters but have never seen a broken S&S lifter.
