Rain gear.....but I will not be there and so it will not rain...no joke! If you can't find a place I'll recommend the B&B at Sculptured Rocks....ever hear of nowhere? Your in the middle of it....and the owners ride...great people.
When some friends and I rode up from East Texas in 09, we stayed in Lincoln. It's about 35 miles north of the rally. We spent 4 days up there. 1 day at the rally and 3 just riding. In Lincoln we stayed at the cleanest little mom and pop hotel I've ever seen. It's called the Mt. Coolidge Hotel. If you decide to go that way instead of camping, you won't go wrong.
I only attended Laconia once, and I can honestly say it's the wettest I've ever been while riding. Holy cow, the skies opened up and we got drenched for hours while we were trying to plow through it. After about 4 hours we finally gave up and got a motel to dry out. The rest of the trip was great. Biker friendly area, and lots of good food. Enjoy.
Oxbow camp ground in Deering, NH. About an hour's ride to Weirs Beach. Bike friendly (the owner leads a ride every Sunday morning). Clean facilities. Nice, private sites with a variety of hook up choices. Rental trailers and cabins. Highly recommended. Great down to earth people who understand why you're there in the first place.
