So whats the diffrence between the Z and gold Lyndall
About $20 per set. Go to lyndallracing.com and you can find out all the pertinent details. They are carbon Kevlar compounds. I've got the Z+ pads for the front. I bought them from HogPro who is a forum sponsor. I bought the Golds directly from Lyndallracingbrakes.com. HogPro shipped much quicker, but they do have to contend with availability. So far, they have performed as advertised - quiet, no dust that I can see, and excellent stopping. They claim about 18,000 mile life. By the time I need new pads, I'll likely need new rotors too.
Replacing my 3 sets this weekend at 20,1xx miles. Hell, I remember back when I had the stealer change my rear tire, they called and said my rears were looking thin and should probably be changed. That was at 3,xxx TOTAL miles on the bike (nail in the tire). I about **** myself and almost told them to put the old tire back on the bike. I was livid. Tried charging me $150 for the brake job too!
I wasn't sure of original thickness of the pads so just going off my experience with car pads it looked they needed changed. Based upon new pad thickness my fronts weren't very bad, but the rears looked more worn then the fronts.
