Easier to find from 1st gear, and yes, it did get easier once I changed the fluids to synthetic.

On my 2010 Limited 103 neutral is real easy to find. I have almost 20K miles on her now.
I think I might have a adjusted the clutch cable maybe once. Bikes never been back to a dealership. I do change the primary, like the engine oil every 3K miles. Maybe always keeping the primary oil fresh and clean helps, not only with longevity but with finding neutral.

Its a technique to find it sometimes...I find that while driving in the driveway in 2nd I get close to the garage and go to neutral and coast in..

I don't know if there's any correlation but since I changed to RedLine oils and had the Hayden tensioner installed finding N is not a problem anymore.

You gotta blip the throttle and tap it into neutral. It is a pain otherwise...

I must be one of the lucky ones only had this problem once or twice. Use Amsoil in all 3 holes.

I didn't have the time to read through all the posts and maybe it's already been suggested, but I've found over the years, that keeping the primary just a little less than full really helps me. I generally fill it an ounce or two shy of the recommended amount.
