Default Hard Clutch/ Barrnet cable

I switch my bars a few months back. I also switched the clutch cable to a barrnet plus 8. I correctly adjusted it and have been riding the bike for a few months. The clutch level was a little harder to pull then stock but it didn't bother me. Up at Myrtle Beach, my friend took a ride and came back saying something is wrong, the lever is much too hard, after riding his, I see what he means. Is this normal ?? The cable was lubed, do u think it needs more ?? I am going to pull the batwing to see if its bent around something. Any thoughts ???

I can't help but can say I've had a Barnett cable on my old bike and it performed flawlessly. No increase in lever pull. Something must be binding the cable.

Check everything including the 3 ball ramp under the clutch actuation cover on the right hand side.

Possible throwout bearing?

Good Luck

no need to pull the pipes, remove your heat shields and use ball head allen wrenches to get the job done. I have changed three clutch cables out on three different bikes and have not removed pipes yet. good luck.
