Default front wheel install question

just put a 12 street glide front wheel on my 05. I got the non abs spacers and 25mm axle parts. When I installed the axle and tried to do the right slider to 7/16 rod on axle step I was no where close. I never had a problem before. Is this step gone with the newer setup?

Thanks

I had the exact same experience when I put a 2012 wheel on my 2006. Was nowhere close to the 7/16 hole. That step seems to have been eliminated on the newer bikes. I just looked at my buddy's 2011 and made sure it looked like his and said, "Close enough."

Loving that 18" wheel. Am I right?

Different procedure, starting in 08. Instead of pulling the right fork slider to where it contacts the 7/16 drill bit, you push it, until it contacts the spacer, then tighten the axle holder nuts. It's the axle and spacers that are different, not the lower sliders.

Alright, I'm a retard (new Electra Glide owner) and I bought a 2011 SG wheel and put it on my 02 EG. What I did was turn my EG 1" axle down to 25mm and put on the stock 1" spacers. Now I'm having issues with with Left rotor rubbing. Any thoughts?
