If they moved to Mexico , do you actually think for one minute they would sell as many bikes as they do ? What a joke .[quote]

They don't need to move all the way to Mexico. They can come right here to sunny NC and not have to deal with the union. Indian is moving here from Florida.

I've currently got a March 23rd ship date. I was told that we probably won't have an updated schedule until the line is 100% operational - probably mid-next week.

Looks like an acceptable resolutions to the issues that caused the strike were the result of Collective Bargaining for the employees at the York Location - I say good job and congradulation to everyone that worked to make it happen. The Men & Women on the Picket Lines, The Reps at the table and the Community Support that helped through the hard fight.

I say, Thank You to all the Men & Women of the IAM for Fighting the Good Fight and being sucessfull

The results of your efforts is proof that workers can secure justice in the workplace through collective bargaining and collective action

Yes I noticed right off the TOYOTA site for signing.

I wonder what the upper management did NOT give up to make things equal?
You know how it is, the big dogs always want a bigger slice of the pie, and expect the little
ones to give it up.
Personally If this was all there was to the contract and the bargaining points, I'd say the UNION did'n't win them very much if anything.

I guess I'm missing something. Just exactly how did they manage to reach an agreement on a contract without two parties meeting, and agreeing. "Contract- by mutual agreement of two or more parties..." I guess no acknowledgment to the MoCo is warranted. Wrong "two dogs", cudos to the MoCo and the IAM for working out a compromise.

I get so very, verybored hearing the same olebullsh*t union rhetoric. BORING............................

Well gosh Oley, I would think that anybody, that knows anything about reaching an agreement in a labor dispute, would know it takes both parties (labor and management) to be in agreement, next time I'll splain it better

My post was directed toward the workers. The men & women who were not afraid to take a stand for what they felt was fair. I believe that the "cudos" for getting a better deal for the workers should go to the Workers & their Representatives. If they had not had the metal to reject the original offer and take action - there would have not been a better offer.

I will give the Company credit for working to end the strike (they allowed to happen) as quickly as possible. Its all part of the collective bargaining process. The story in York is a sucess story.

Collective Bargaining Works and it takes BOTH SIDES LABOR & MANAGEMENT doing the right things to be sucessfull. Sometimes one side has to put a little pressure on the other to get things moving in the right direction. Both sides in this instance exerted their own unique form of pressure to get the process moving.

The best deal attainable for everyone involved is usually one that neither side is compleatly satisfied with.

I don't get the "two dogs" comment unless its about being registered 2x - for some reason after I registered the 1st time the system kicked it out - so I registered a second time. Now they both are working. I either login as uniondog or uniondog1 depends which computer I sign in from. No hidden agenda with that

Hmmm.. looks like the only difference from the original offer from the company is that the hourly still don't pay anything on health care, but there is a larger deductable. Sooooo.. it'a a wash. JMO.
no, not really.

w/ the deductible, you only pay when you use. when you pay up front, you pay no matter what.
