Got wife a new backrest, went from the standard to the tall. Also got the extra wide pad. Now problem is it has pushed her forward. There is almst no room between us now. She likes the pad and the height but would like to be back a little farther. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to help with this. THANKS
Look on Ebay for an adjustable siisy bar. Put one on my RG, The wife loves it. It adjusts back about 2-3 inches. And the best part is it didnt cost $700 like the HD model that stands straight up. $200 was the cost. I cant remember the manufacture. Sorry.

I have a set of brackets that will move the backrest back 2"..... A forum member makes these, forget just who it is.
We no longer need these, and can be yours if you'd like.
I can email / post a couple pics if you'd like.

I bet they could sell quite a few of these. I removed the stock foam and replaced it with thinner for a gain of over 1" of space. No need for all that foam, she doesn't even lean on it.
I would still move it back some if I could sign me up for a pair!
Depending on what brand of backrest, many have an adjustment avainlable to the angle of the upright. I would check and see if you loosen them if they can angle back some.
