code p1009 help needed

code p1009 help needed
I have a 04 roadking with a code of p1009 and it tells me no password what do i need to do to fix this. the bike starts then dies then the red key in dash flashes and wont start at all after that I need help thank you

Did you buy the bike used? If so, I wonder if the ECM was replaced at some point:

Have you done anything with the tsm or ecm? That code usually comes up when the code learn is not correct between tssm and ecm. Have you been attempting the code learn process? I believe the 04 models have a step by step in the owners manual
