....ok new 2013 Electra classic, both my passing light bulbs blew within 500 miles! Wth??
I have heard that there was a bad batch of bulbs out there, but when they blow the entire lens gets that white film all over it. This ticks me off, over 70 bucks invested due to bad bulbs. I have the replacements in now, and just wondering how long they will last.

Did you ask for warrantee replacements? Dealer might have overhead under good will or hd might have covered.

With only 500 miles on your bike, something is not right. I can understand maybe 1 blowing but not 2 at the same time. I would take it back to the dealer and have them go over it with a fine tooth comb. I would also put the bad bulbs back in and see if they will possibly replace them, if they do, you have spare bulbs for next time.
I assume the ground for the lights would be in behind the bat wing?
Passing lamp ground is just a green wire going from the bulb socket to where it's spot welded to the back of the light housing (inside of course). The gray wire goes down and back to the harness. Doubt its that because the fuse would blow. I'd make the dealer aware and put it on record at least in case it happens again.
