Default ACR's not working?

I just got back from the dealer today, they hooked up my automatic compression releases and flashed the ECM to turn them on. I dont hear anything different when starting the engine both cold and when hot. How does one know if they are working or not? Im thinking you should hear some kind of compression noise at start up like the manuals...

I don't hear a thing with them but it sure makes "hot" starts easier than both of my 96"ers without them.

The ACR's vent to the exhaust port inside the head. No venting noise will be heard.

If you want to be absolutely sure, do a compression check with and without the ACRs enabled. If there's a difference, they're working. Just remove the System Relay during the test to disable the ACRs.

Is a comp test the only way to tell? I had the tank off today and checked voltage at the plug and there was none

I think Im going to call the dealer back because I dont hear any click, even with a stethoscope on the acr solinoid. Im thinking they reflashed the ecm, but didnt turn it on maybe.

Now I'm more confused. Appreciate all the suggestions here, but I stopped at the dealer and spoke to the mechanic that did the work. He said the new acr's don't make any noise and as said here goes out the exhaust. I guess I'm just going to have to put some miles on and see how it goes. Moco has a lot of faith in their solenoids working 100% I guess.
