In light rains I go faster and scoot up closer to the shield and tilt the front of my half-helmet down, in heavier rains I am screwed... The water makes it to my eyes and then i'm blinded no matter how fast I blink. Been looking at goggles and a full face helmet... Goggles will make more sense but I wear prescription glasses so it adds to the complication. I could get a full-face helmet but will have to drop my windscreen height in order to get some airflow to it. Full face also offers sunburn protection amongst other advantages.

That is my setup. I have not tried them in the rain yet though. I had a full face on coming home from Daytona to Iowa. I was in an hour of HARD rain. Even a full face helmet sucked. I could not see as well as I would of liked.

I was trained (when shooting) to look right through the rain drops on glasses. Sounds impossible but it works for me. Now if they fog up that is something else.

I have a taller shield , I like looking through it not over , any way I have chrome edge trim around the edge and that helps the rain bead up and blow of instead of rolling around on the inside and helps keep it a little clearer , in real heavy rains I stop for coffee

Learned my lesson few years ago helmet with the face shield and goggles with or without prescription lenses works good when get caught in unexpected storm. If you have time to prepare I learned a trick from this forum a dab of dish soap rub it on inside the goggles windshield and face shield and just polish it no fog on either one for the day.

Got cough in a heavy downpour few days ago and could barely see the yellow line. Slowing down helped, stopping is better but i kept going since i was only 10 min from home. My FF was at home, nice and dry. Live on a gravel road and the bike was covered in mud. Hate that.....

I wear a 3/4 with a face shield. Year before last, we left for Daytona from North side of Houston, and it rained hard for the first 360 miles. The 3/4 did its job with no complaints at all. I wear it all the time now, in TX, we get caught in the rain all the time when the sun is shinning. Like others have said, it keeps your face from getting sun burnt also.

One word, or two, Rain-X
Put it on your goggles, glasses or clear face helmet shield.
I have ridden in torrential rain on the highway for over 100 miles and could barely see from in a car never mind the bike, but with rain x on my glasses as long as I moved 35 or so the wind pushed the rain off and I could see.

Ventilated goggles. I get caught from time to time in sub- tropical downpours living in central Florida and have found the foam lined vented type are best. I use them for my clears at night too so I only carry two sets. The venting allows fogging to clear without letting water in

Default jet helmet fogged

When I wear my jet helmet in the rain, either it's visor or my glasses fog up. Or both. No such problem with a full face helmet. Detailed here. We can't all live in SoCal.
