will this starter work for me?
Hi all.
I need to know if you can tell, is this a starter and a solenoid?
It looks like it to me.

I dont have a manual yet and I definitely need a starter.
It is for my 07 FLHPI Road King police
I want to order this if it will work as I have a budget of about $150.00 and this is in that range.
I am leaving for a trip in 10 days and my starter has been acting up, I dont want to mess with diagnosing it I just want to replace it for now.
When I have more money I will think about another, better set up I want but for a cheap way to get a working starter on the bike I want to know if this will work.
The guy selling it says yes but I cant get a clear answer about the solenoid.
It looks to me that the solenoid is connected to it in the pics.
any information would be great.
I can order tomorrow and it will get here by the 7th, I need it here by or before the 10th so I have a day to install it before we leave early on the 12th.

solenoid is under the copper stud in that cavity. Looks like a complete starter to me. Call him and get the warm info from him 1-800-796-9394. He says new, so it must be a generic China clone at that price. Might be were all Harley starters come from. Who knows?

I am going to grab a manual the day before I leave, lol but I think I can do this without it.
I am a little nervous seeing how cheap it is but I figure it has to be good for 1000 miles right?
I just wan to get through the week with it, then I dont care if it fails, I will get a nice unit.

I think you'l find it's as good as the o.e.m. $400 unit ( probably made by the same guys!)
Don't forget to duisconnect the battery! Pulling on the starter jackshaft (inside the primary,) could cost you a finger.
