Has anybody went to 575's on the newer ultras yet ? wild one's is saying you don't have to get longer clutch and brake lines,is this right ? I know on the 05 I did .
You will need a new clutch cable unless you route it under the fairing and not out the hole in the fairing. You can route it out the hole but the cable will be compromised going to full lock. Routing under the fairing doesnt look too bad to me at all.
If you want the cable to come out of the hole in the fairing just get the 4 over cable and save yourself a lot of BS. I have done a couple of them now.
I put them on my 2012 Ultra Ltd. last fall. Stock brake lines, but I did a +4 clutch line because I wasn't comfortable with the length. Stock probably would work, but why risk it...clutch cable is an easy swap.
For what it's worth...I LOVE the bars. They're perfect for me. Hardest part is the wiring...took me 3 tries and then I had to solder all of the connectors in the bars because they kept coming undone and giving me TBW errors.
Yes you need longer clutch cable. Stock would probably work but I did not want to chance activating the clutch when turning tight. All the wiring fits inside including the chrome and rubber heated hand grips if you route the grips wires through the drain hole in the left switch housing. Right side no problem. They are very comfortable.
Have them on my 2013 SG. Used a clutch cable from a softail crossbones. HD part no 38788-06C. $36.00. Got the advice from another forum member. Here's a pic:
