Default Man o man

What a day for a ride in St. Louis Mo today barely any wind in the high 70's... I do have a question which I think I know the answer but left hand curves and some right hand curves I hear what almost sounds like hydraulic action if that makes sense seems like when I lean or push right I can hear this sound I'm thinking front tire might be cupping a bit...2011 SG 8500 miles on it. I'm not going to buy a new tire just wondering if its going to be an issue on this 2000 mile trip I'm about to load up for. Everything I checked seemed to be fine ....gotta be the tire huh?

I would think so. Mine does something similar when leaning.

Probably tires, yes. Heard ( what I'm guessing to be) the same sound in curves. Sound is gone with new tires I put on last week. Have heard it each time it gets close to "new tire time".

8500 miles is not much for a front tire. Make sure you are running a little more air than what the specs say. Those front tires will cup early running only 36 lbs. Once they start cupping, you cannot reverse it.

Shoot 8500 miles on this front tire and I really don't want to put a new on yet,,, I should be able to run this tire for a lot more miles even if it is cupping a bit huh?

Depends on how much tread is left at the thinnest part. And if you ride in heavy rain or not this time of year. We all have choices to make.
