Make sure you have selected the correct COM port and also make sure you have turned the switch at the handle bar to "ON" as well as the ignition. Make sure your laptop, if using one, has a constant power source.
Curious if some race tuners need to be installed by dealer for the initial installation? then I can fine tune from there?
Definitely not the case as I flashed mine twice without any problems.
I wonder if you tried flashing with the wrong map and when you attempted to start it the ECM thru a code...........may have to trailer it to the dealer for them to reset your ECM.
EDIT: I was in conversation with someone and I can't remember who or when, but I vaguely remember a "ritual" that could be done if something like this was to happen but I cannot confirm the details...............age catching up with me I guess.
Post this question in the Electrical/ECM/Tuner section........someone will chime in a offer an answer.
First time it read the codes with no problem, everything on the ECM read fine, said download complete, but bike wouldn't start. I kinda figured I tried everything I know. been working on bikes for quite a few years... can pull apart the motor but don't know crap about electronics. was trying to save myself a trip to the dealer just to recalibrate my computer. I guess this is what I get for trying to make my 103 a lot faster. More headaches.
Thanks so much for the help and the info though. Really appreciate it.

Does your fuel pump kick in??
I had the same problem, with error message"Corrupt Operating System". Itook itto the dealer. They reloaded the firmware (903 download) and then I reloaded my map and allwas fine. I think my problem wascaused buy static electricty. If you don't hear the fuel pump kick in after the down load be very careful, try reloading BEFORE disconnecting or rebooting PC.
I've read where a week Laptop battery has been know to cause this too.
Yeah, the fuel pump does not kick in. I even tried to reset the ignition, hoping that would make it work, but that didn't help. Had the laptop plugged in, so couldn't be the battery. Just said it would not read ECM files. never said anything about being corrupt. Yeah, I guess I have no choice but go to the dealer now and get my system rebooted. Was trying not to have to take it in. Thanks for the info.
