Okay, I am striking out with this tuner. This is for a 2006 Night Train
1. Brand new in the box
2. Downloaded software no issues
3. Connected to PC and Bike - States Good Communication
4. Will not show ECM information
I tried uninstalling the tuner and reinstalling it and even tried on two different laptops. One was Windows 10 and the other is Windows 8.1.
Is the possibility that the bike (Which I purchased used some time ago) had a tuner installed and it is interfering with this tuner? I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
you have to update the vci to communicate. Open tuner software, you will see setup in top boxes, open it. Connect tuner to bike, run switch on, turn key on. 5th box down on left program, click it to update the vci.
You updated to the newer software, did you update the vci again. Everytime you update the software you need to update the vci. Make sure the run/stop switch is in the run position.
I'll try it again when I get home. I updated the software when I fired it up and when I turned the ignition to run, it said I had to update the VCI, so I did. I'll try again tonight and see what happens. Thanks!
Man am I such a dumbass! Well, i thought it was in run but was in off. And I even said to myself "make sure bike is in run". Anyways, it's detected and shows my vin. Thanks for the assistance. Let's hope my reading level gets better
