Default Power Commander question

So a guy at work has a Power Commander from his wifes 2008 Softail Custom. i was wondering if it would fit my 05 RKC?

I have looked at the # on the PC and there's 3 different ones.

Yeah they are different models. Even if it was off an 08 touring it is a different model than an 05.

If its a5-027 it will work. '08 softail uses a 15-004. I'm guessing they are different?? Ya would need to call Dynojet to be sure.

I believe the main connectors are the same, but you'd have to inspect to make sure. If so it will work, but the cable lengths may be different since the Softail and RK PCV install in different places. I would call Fuel Moto for an opinion, as they will know. If you call DynoJet you may just get a corporate answer to "use the correct part for your bike."

My '07 SG used a PCV for an '09 Softail (called "Retrofit kit" from Fuel Moto), as DJ didn't even offer one for the '07 and earlier touring bikes, and although the cables were longer than needed I was able to connect and fit the assembly without any problems. I believe all four of these bikes use the same ECM connector.

Thanks for all the replies.
so i called DynoJet and the guy started with the typical "no, it will only fit the bike it was on"
then i told him what bike i have and he said that it would work without any problems as long as i upload the righ map.
