My 2007 Roadglide had the same problem. My 2010 EG has never had any condensation show up in any of the gauges. I guess the EG was not built on Monday or Friday.
I suggest using a hair dryer on low to evaporate the moisture from inside the glass. Not a long term permanent solution, but it will drive the moisture out that is in there for now, until the conditions that created it in the first place happen again.
Sunshine seems to cause it on mine. Especially, as previously noted, if I've washed it. My british cars do this terribly, but they also clear off in the sun in just an hour or two. My RK can hold it for days on end.
I've no idea why moisture is coming up from underneath. It's not like spray is getting in there from washing. Nor is there any sort of sponge hiding in there to hold water.
Might be fixible with either a tiny fan to blow air through the gauge, or perhaps a vent on the top, with a down angled spigot.
My 07 road king custom usually does it on the morning run.i just park it in the sun when i hit the bar for lunch and then its good to go.problem solved.
This is the ONE instance when the stealer tells you, " It's the nature of the beast" that I would agree. My heritage and my Ultra Classic fog up. If there were a way to circulate heated air thur the housing, that would help.
Fogging in the speedo is actually caused by CONDENSED TEARS!
