I have a 2012 road glide custom looking to lower it. A friend told me about this kit and I've done some research. If anybody has this kit or has had this kit tell me what you think of it? Thanks
Lots of people use them. I tried one once and the ride is much harsher due to relocating the lower mounting point of the shock. Some have actually said it caused their shocks to leak due to more side load on the piston rod. I haven't witnessed that personally. A better choice would be lower shocks. At least that way you can maintain some ride quality. Progressive makes some inexpensive non air assisted shocks that can be had in several variations. I have a set that I ran for just a few miles. They rode nice, but the bike was too low. Looked cool, but couldn't keep the boards off the ground in curves...

The kit comes with shorter rear shocks not the lowering bracket setup, and shorter front springs... I have this kit and it works pretty good for me...

Pardon my ignorance. I thought they only made the bracket type lowering kit.
That said, I urge you to consider how much lean angle you will give up by lowering your bike even 1". When I bought my bike used, it had been lowered. Front and rear. It looked really cool, but for my riding style it didn't work. I installed the factory springs back in the forks, and left the rear down. Still not where I needed to be. I eventually put the oe ultra shocks back on the rear and it's remarkably better. Still drag the boards more than I like, but it is what it is.
