After fueling up the last couple of times I go to start the bike on a hot start and get a loud bang noise like something is going to break. Only has done it on hot start never cold, anyone else experience this or know what it may be?

 

Compensator.... Mine does it periodically, I believe you have the SE upgrade as OEM, the one in my bike is the older version but have the newer version on order.

 

Haven't had the problem myself, but there has been a lot of discussion about compensators. I believe the issue was the older (non SE) design. Can't say I remember hearing this issue with the SE style the 2012 and up has from the factory.

 

Comp, or starter solenoid/gears are bad...get the bike in for warranty service.

 

Mine does it every once in a while, sounds awful, never seemed to hurt anything, usually on a short shut off like a gas stop

 

Guess its time to bring it in then, was thinking a compensator problem after reading the forums. Can anyone confirm that the 2012's have the SE comp standard from the factory?
