Default Battery Location

I just got of the sand box and bought a 98 Ultra Classic. Over the winter I let my battry run down but bought a battry tender. Question one is how do I get to by battery on this model. I have tried to look for a way to raise my set with no luck. Can someone help me. I was use to my battery being on the side on my old bike. I have been out of the riding arena for 20 years. I appreciate any help.

Thanks

To the very rear of the saddle, and jest below the front of the tour pak, you'll see a phillips head screw. Ya hafta remove that screw (use a #2 phillips head "shorty" screwdriver an' be VERY careful). If ya have that strap over the saddle, you'll hafta remove one side as well - you'll see the strap hold-downs just behind the saddlebags.

Take yer time with that screw - it's REAL easy fer it ta slip off an' gouge the fender!

While you are in there you might want to add the pigtail that comes with some of the battery tenders. It will make it a lot easier the next time........
