I use the NGK's too as my tuner recommends them and uses them as well.
In fact he says that he changes his out once a year whether they need it or not.

As I understand, decel pop is normal to a certain extent and takes place in the muffler. I don't see how spark plugs are going to stop this?

As just a wild guess, perhaps more complete combustion means less unburned fuel in the muffler to pop later.

My point of curiosity is whether there is any improvement in gas mileage, and if so, by how much. Only time will tell.

This is my thinking as well. The plugs probably fire better and provide more complete combustion.

One thing to note on my post, I was getting a Pop between shifts on the up shift. It was happening right as I let off the gas to up shift. The new plugs stopped the between shift pop. That is my primary issue, not as much of a concern on the deceleration.

I am finding that a lot of Harley products such as certain fluids, spark plugs, etc. are sub par. There whole motive of the MoCo is to get me to buy after sale stuff like a $400 tuner and throw another hand full of C notes at the dealer to have their mechanics install it. When I spend $20k plus on a Harley, I shouldn't have to spend another couple grand to make it run right.

Lets face facts. Harley is where it is today because of cool factor. But the MoCo profit comes from getting in your pocket to make it right.

Decel pop is not my primary issue. It was popping between up shifts.

Really not trying to be a wise *** but your thread is " Got Rid of my decel and accel pop".

Interested because I have a small amount of decel pop that I would like to get rid of.

It's not decel pop that's the problem. It's popping between up shifts. Stock MoCo plugs work fine if everything is bone stock.

I think Decel pop is hard to eliminate when running performance mufflers which flow better. That said, my decel pop is way reduced with this plug change. It's worth the $18 to try it. Certainly can't hurt.

As said before only way to get rid of decel pop is with tuning. Also stated before there had to be something wrong with the other plugs.what did they look like when removed?
