Sorry for the lame question but I'm a newbie to the board and running EFI. I have a quick question for the techs on the board. I have added SE exhaust and SE air cleaner and will run with the PCIII. I have not done the stage one download from the dealer. This question I have is I have to take the bike to the dealer to program the radio and if I remove the PCIII what harm will that do to the bike? should I re-install the stock exhaust before remove the power commander? Or should I take the bike with the power commander installed and just have the service port out for the tech to program the radio?
Thanks everyone. The beep is more like every 5 seconds. Now for the rest of the question, should I drive with the PCIII removed or not? this is a new bike with 7 miles in it so I don't want to start off by running it too lean.
If you have the Stage I ECM Flash, and are using the PC as a piggyback to "Assist" the Stage I flash, then you will be okay....
If you have a Stock ECM, and are running the SEAC and SE Mufflers, you run the risk of doing damage to the combustion chamber, as it will be wayyyy too lean...
Thanks Bob, I have not installed the SEAC yet so I think I'll let that off until I get the radio programmed. I already have the SE exhaust installed but since the bike is just sitting in the garage here in northeast ohio I can hold off on installing the SEAC since I'm not planning on riding anytime soon
