Default Saddle bag issues

Put new extended bags on my bike, lowers, with OEM tops and locks...the problem is the latches won't stay closed unless I lock them....seems like they are preloaded.....any ideas how to rectify the problem. Tried loosening the screws, no change. 2010 road glide

every time mine want latch I will open the top back up and pull the cloth tether out from under the lid, then it will latch, sometimes they fold in the wrong direction.

Are you sure the lid tether isn't folding into the gap as you are closing the lid? I know it's tough to see as it's closing, but mine does that occasionally and the latch acts the exact same way.

This is the same thing that happpens to my left bag. I looked under lid as I was closing one day and seen that this was happening. I thought that my latch was messsed up or something. Now that I seen this was it lid latches down as if it was brand new.

New springs or bend the tabs a bit. And like said before, make sure your not closing lid and pinching the cloth
