Saddlebag lid actuators?
Does anyone know of a resource on how to make your own saddlebag lid actuators? It seems all I can find are bags that are premade and they are $2500.
I guess I'll check chopped baggers too. Thanks for any and all help.

Actuators in itself sounds like a pricey project. Maybe someone can help you with some kind of hinge that will provide the function and look you want.
I went with Sumax bags as they lift up from the rear, and have stainless hinges that work great. I love 'em, and the clean side view w/out latches gets a lot of attention. Custom look w/out a lot of additional expense.

"Pitbull" ... I don't know if I'm crazy about the "Extended Bags" ... but the lids opening the way yours do is very nice ... and as you stated ... The clean side look is unique! Nice.
