Default H-D Stealth Hand Grips= Junk

My dealer upgraded my oem grips to the HD stealth grips. They have lasted 5 weeks and 1100 miles. I just noticed how bad the discloration is.

The product description on the HD website claims the grips are glueless. This is too allow for easy/damage free removal.

Does anyone know how to remove these? Also, does HD warranty these parts?

Thanks.

I've had the stealth grips on for 4 years with no problems. Must be a bad set that you got. Go and complain.

I've only had my Ultra for 2.5 months, but do have 5K miles on it. Had the dealer put on the Stealth grips and mine still look brand new. Maybe it is a problem with the set you received???

I had the service mngr look at my grips yesterday. After trying to polish out the wear he came to the conclusion that he thinks the chrome has already worn through.

He said he was going to call H-D to find out if there have been many/any other complaints and if it was perhaps part of a bad batch of products from a vendor.

They will be replaced. It is a matter of with the same grip from a different batch or an all new grip style.

I'm happy....still shouldn't have happened though.
