I have an 03 Road King.....just put on ohlins shocks from Howard. Great improvement.
My problem is and remains the front end. I have read tons of threads, but just looking for some feedback.
The front end wobble mostly comes in curves when I'm riding hard (70 mph plus). Also, if there is any bumps in the road, etc, it definitely amplifies the wobble.
I just purchased the Progressive Touring Link, but haven't installed it yet. I'm assuming this will help.
Would installing the Progressive mono-tube kit help as well? Mostly I'd like help with the wobble, but the nose diving under braking also sucks with stock suspension.
Put on the touring link and see what happens. Changing up the internals on teh forks always helps handling but I'd wait and see on the Progressive touring like first. Another product to consider are the Sta-Bo bushings. I plan on doing both on my bike as time and money allows. http://www.sta-bo.com/
I've owned a lot of Harleys. Only had one that had the dreaded front end wobble in high speed sweepers. I tried a touring stabilizer, still could get rid of it and so got rid of the bike. If you cant get it corrected with whatever stabilizer bolt-on kit, ride slower in the sweeping highway curves or get another bike. Lots of riders confuse the issue with a front-end shake which is due to mechanical problems buts that's a whole another topic.
