Posted this in the audio section as well but I figured I would get more responses here.
Just purchased a 13 FLHTK... when I plug my iPhone or iPod nano into the aux jack I only get sound from the left speakers... this is my first bike with a fairing so I am not sure if this is normal or not... anyone else ever experience this?

Warranty!!! Maybe a solder break on the aux jack mount to the right speaker wire inside the HK head unit itself.
I assume you have sound from both speakers when listening to a cd or the radio?
1st try a different aux iPod cable and if problem exists - back to the dealer for a fix under warranty pal!!
Good luck

everything else works fine going in for the 1000 mile service on the 6th... I'll have them look at it if the new cable doesn't cure the problem

Had the same issue with mine. Turned out to be a cheap cable. I picked up a better quality cable from bestbuy and it has worked great since.
Clearly not normal to only have one speaker with using the aux jack. I would say try a different cable as well. If not fixed then its the jack on the radio
Make certain you are plugging the cable in ALL the way. It's easy to feel the plug engage and think it's fully inserted when in fact only one channel is connected.

Agree, and use a quality cable. Try not to plug/unplug/plug/unplug that cable very much. Repeated too often that action can break the very tiny solder pads that hold the Aux jack to the circuit board. Here is what it looks like inside:
