A little 'Retro' with the satin green paint, yellow driving lights with tri-bars, 58 olds derby cover for breather cover and dresser bars....and of coarse those beautiful whitewalls & lace......09 RKC
pics below next...........
Where did you buy those tri-bars? I can't find it.
My plans are a 21" wheel with 80 spokes, hard saddlebags and some chrome stuffs
I've been pouring over the pics here all week. I love the retro look. I have a local guy remolding my stock FLHR seat for 2 more inches of leg room, and he's recovering it with white gator on top and white marine vinyl on the sides, same with the backrest. Next month I'm adding 12" apes with white grips, round and smooth AC, round horn cover, and black gradient MS windshield. Want the front fender 'bumper' soon, also. It's a start.
Question ... where can I find the chrome saddlebag guards for '14 and later hard bags?
Nevermind ... found them for Rushmores. HD has 'em.
how much does it involve to change to a 21 inch wheel ?
do you just buy a wheel tire combo with dual rotors and slap it on or is more involved ?
please let me know, your bike looks great i have the same road king ,mine is a 2000.
Thanks,
Jimmy`Z
I bought the 21 inch Ultima King Spoke wheel from BKRider.com. $299.95 Have not ridden the bike yet because Minnesota weather but installation of the new wheel, rotors and tire was quick and simple.

What Tire did you use? says rim you bought was for up to a 99 wide glide front end? Mine is a 2000 RK almost identical to yours will it work? So all i need is tire, rim, and rotors and bolt it in ? Thanks for the info! Once Again, Your bike looks GREAT !!! Jimmy`Z

I believe the HD 2000 model year touring bikes switched to a 1 inch front wheel bearing so the wheel you need would be a different part number. The 120-70-21 inch tire I bought is made for use on heavy touring bikes. You can install your old rotors on your new wheel but for $115.00 you can get a pair of polished spoke style rotors that look better then the stock HD rotors. The Ultima King Spoke wheels are a Chinese built wheel. If you use the search function you will find a number a long threads on the Ultima Spoke wheels and as far as I know nobody has had any issues with the quality of the wheel.
