CAUTION: With one wrong step in their vicinity, fishtails and sharkfins will remove the flesh from your shin in the shape of the muffler's tip (don't ask how I know or how many beers). Classic riders bear these scars with pride...
Here too! Lets see,.... my oldest boy, my wife, both my legs...yup, just about everyone who has walked by my bike has chunks missing from their legs too. [/QUOTE]
Whiskers, You've spawned and idea here. How about some basketweave leather fishtail guards. I have a special heavy piece of and old moving blanket that I lay across mine. I've sliced my leg up, too. But do not want to raise the wrath of the Mrs.
You may have hit on a great idea there. Now I park the bike with the tips pointed away from the general public.. Most of my family learned with one slice,...it took me two, -go figure.
Dayummmm Bobros...the bikes looking extra special!!! That Turquoise is sure a great color...it was made for Classic's. Are you happy with the fishtails? I think they look great.

Thanks Whiskers. Actually, I really like them. They're not as loud as the previous 49-state legal SE's, but louder and deeper than stock. Pipes get louder when seasoned so these will only get better.

Well, like Whiskers I found the '62 tank badges to be a good place to start. I need to get some new pics with the fishtails on her. I put them on almost a year ago and don't have any really good photos since then. In addition, I REALLY like the look of the grab rail on the Corbin solo seat and I don't have many pics without the pillion on (and the grab rail has to come off to use the pillion) except the one with my Heritage Springer in it, although THAT was a classic beauty as well...but here's a shot of my Classic Classic!
Lo and behold, I did find one photo with the fishies on.
