Default Wheels???????

I have a 2013 limited that I ride 90 miles round trip to work pretty much every day, unless it is raining.
I really want some new wheels and don,t mind butting new tires while I,m at it if I decide to change sizes.

Been on the hog pro site for an hour....... How do you decide, they all look good.

Right now I have the stock wheels 18 on the front and 17 on the rear.
I'm happy with the way the bike looks and handles so do I need to stay with that?
I think I would like to run a wider tire in the rear but not if I have to change out the fender.

Any advise would be appreciated
Thanks
Buff

How wide did you go with the back wheel?

I think you answered your own question there.I think when Harley changed the frame in 2009 I think they changed the wheel sizes as well to improve handling. While some custom wheels can do allot to set your bike apart from the crowd, for me it's never been worth the money unless they can improve performance or reduce maintenance.IE if there were wheels available in the same sizes in all black I'd go for that just to reduce the amount of time spent cleaning although so far the chrome contrast have not been too terribly difficult to maintain.Another thing to consider is with a bagger so little of the rear wheel is visible a matched set of custom wheels just doesn't make sense to me.

Most of our customers with newer baggers opt for a 21x3.25 front and 17x6.25 rear. Picking which wheel is the hardest part. The 17x6.25 will bolt right on and fit under your fender. The 21 will fit under your front fender although you always need to double check the clearance between the front tire and fender on a bagger.

I'm getting ready for a new set myself and I cannot decide either. Are you thinking chrome or black? Feel free to call us with questions as well as we andswer questions about wheels all day. I'd never get a wheel smaller than a 21" as I think you will not be happy with the look and know i would not be. My bike has a 21 front and 18 rear and handles great. I ride to work everyday too, however it's only about 50 miles for me to work and back.

I am thinking about a 23" for my bike now. Regardless, there are many options and configurations and it is a decision you should take your time with to ensure that you get what you want. Have you seen the bagger gallery? http://www.hogpro.com/showpage.php?page=gallery2.htm

Maybe seeing them on bikes will help but it is still a tough decision. Which do I like best? The Apollo and the Titan are my two favorites followed closely by the Shelby.
