Last year I used Dri Slide on my throttle cables and it worked okay for a while then started to get sticky. I also managed to make quite a mess. This year I used PJ1 cable lube in an aerosol can and a clamp on tool. Flushed the old gunk out of the cables and now they operating much more smoothly. So far, anyway. I did put graphite on the bar inside of the throttle grip and also on the pivot pin for the clutch lever.

I followed your advice:
From 07' Wideglide manual

CAUTION
The clutch control cable must be oiled and adjuster peri-
odicall to compensate for lining wear.

Notice the word "oiled".

Thanks for your post. I again checked all three places the clutch is mentioned in the index in my service manual, and there is no mention of lube on the clutch cable. (06 Ultra)
