RamDez,There is good 07s and there is SOME not real good ones,at least you will need to put 600 to 1000 dollars into bike to fix the heat, possiblly pinging,to make bike run like a 96incher should. If you get a sour build, dont expect HD to do anything to correct it if its tranny or motor noise related.

I traded in a GL 1800 for my Ultra - I like the Ultra - Get the bike add a SERT or PCIII - (I went with the PCIII) and enjoy it

2007 Road King Custom FLHRS

I purchased it back in September 2006. No complaints - nothing but praises.

Almost 2,500 miles on it and I wish I could say almost 5,000 miles but Mother Nature hasn’t been very cooperative. However, Punxsutawney Phil (the groundhog) is trying his best to whisk winter out early this year!

As I’ve said before: When the green 6 is lit up on my speedometer….all’s right with the world.

Go for it Highlander!

Regards,

NC

I won't hug you and tell you it is going to be OK"

............BUT".........!!

I will hug you and tell you, if you like 100 year old
motorcycle technology and you like everything that
goes with it like: rattling,clanking,pinging,whinning,
vibration and such like my 07 Ultra Classic does, you
will love your 07 Harley Davidson as much as I love
mine!

if you don't like 100 year old motorcycle technology
you will hate your 07 Harley Davidson and you would
be much better off with a Honda Goldwing or BMW LT.

Or you could do what I do and have a few totally
differentmotorcycles to ride depending on your
mood for the day...

Good Luck,Ride Safe and above all ENJOY"

[hug] It'll be all OK. Like was said earlier, I would also recommend test-riding the bike before committing. Get it hot, let it cruise along at 2200 or below in 5th and 6th gears and listen for any rattling. If you hear whining or clattering, bump the speed up a bit to >2500 rpm, listen again, then decide if anything you've heard will bother you. If there is noise present at 2200 but not 2500, decide if you are willing to keep RPM's above the noisy range. Remember, make sure the engine is fully warmed up before making any decisions, as the noises may not rear their heads until then. Mine don't.

Other than the rattling, this is one great drivetrain, IMO. Lots of low-end and mid-range torque, not a screamer on top-end in stock form, but just what I like. Be prepared to add SERT or PCIII, an open air-cleaner (K&N, HD, Ness, etc.), and the mufflers of your choice.
