Default Pull behind trailer question

A question for you guys that pull trailers.

What do you do with your trailer once you get where you are going?

I was thinking if you are at a motel and wanting to take a day ride without the trailer it would sure be easy for someone to "borrow" it while you were out riding.

When I pulled one I just put it in the room at the motel. It's basically luggage with a wheel.

Same here, with a uni-go trailer you can wheel it right into the room and serves as a place to lock your valuables.

Both with a hotel or camping. I just locked the coupler and either left it in a parking spot or by the tent in our campsite. Never had an issue.

I have a small chain I throw in the trailer and if I am going to leave the trailer at a motel I lock the safety chains to this chain and around something permanent.

The cargo trailer was small, so many times I would take it with me, riding around.

If I was staying somewhere for days or more, I'd find/ask about a place to lock it up and leave it.

Regardless, the trailer is small and easily stolen, you do end up trusting people. If for no other reason than you have no basic choice.

So what do you do when you are on the 2nd or higher floor and there is no elevator?

This answer is rediculously obvious. You leave it hooked up to the bike and ride it up the stairs!
