Question is about the 97 to 07 Electra Glide seats. Mine is a 99 Electra Glide.
The "reach" seat on my bike has to go. I am 5'10", 200#, 32" inseam, just an average guy. The guy who owned this bike before me must have been short, so he put a "reach" seat on it. I feel like I am sitting in a hole.
Everyone has their preference on seating based on what fits them best. I did a search and found that out. What I would like to know is the difference in seating position between a stock seat, and a Sundowner because there is a Sundowner seat available on my local CL, and lots of stock seats on CL and Ebay. I do not want to buy new. I already know the reach seat practically has you sitting on the frame rails.
Had a reach seat on my Road King years ago, too snug in the crotch. I have a Sundowner now, best 2-up seat I've been on. The Sundowner will sit you about a half inc or so higher, not much and will move you back a little also,
